Conclusion

In two field trials 2024 with attacks of powdery mildew, rust, Cercospora and Ramularia, different control strategies with fungicides and a liquid fertilizer have been tested. Highest relative sugar yield of 115 and net income of DKK 3.100 per ha is obtained with two treatments with the mixture 0,3 l Comet Pro + 0,55 l Propulse per ha. The treatment has had a good effect on rust, mildew and Ramularia and some effect on Cercospora. A third treatment with 0,5 liters of Amistar Gold did not increase the yield. Two treatments with 0,3 l Comet Pro per ha or two treatments with 0,5 l Amistar Gold + 0,55 l Propulse per ha has given a slightly lower yield increase, but without significant difference to the mixture Comet Pro + Propulse. First testing of the liquid fertilizer Vitalosol Gold has not increased the yield. Five trials 2023-2024 show that the best result has been achieved with two treatments with the mixture 0,3 l Comet Pro + 0,55 l Propulse and a slightly lower yield, but no significant difference is observed with the mixture 0,5 l Amistar Gold with 0,55 l Propulse. Halving the dosage of one of the mixing partners has resulted in a slightly lower yield, but without a significant difference to the full dosage. 10 years of trials show that controlling leaf diseases has resulted in an average yield increase of 2,0 tons of sugar per. ha corresponding to 13 per cent and a net income of DKK 3.700 per ha.
