Insektmonitering og varsling for skadedyr

Conclusion

Between May and July 2024, weekly monitoring of pests was carried out in collaboration with Nordic Sugar in 15 sugar beet fields treated with Force 20 CS seed coating. Damage from early pests, such as thrips, pygmy mangold beetles and flea beetles was not significant. Beet miner fly eggs could be found throughout the monitored area at the end of May, with many locations exceeding the damage threshold. Black bean aphids were not a problem in sugar beet in 2024, however, at end of June peach-potato aphids could be found at many of the monitoring sites, and the damage threshold for the peach-potato aphid was exceeded at most of the locations. In September, symptoms of virus yellows were very sporadic seen.
