Conclusion

The purpose of this trial series was to test different combinations of Conviso One in broad and band spraying combined with row harrowing. The trials have shown that at least the same effect can be achieved by band spraying with 0.32 l/ha Conviso One in one of two treatments or with 0.16 l/ha Conviso One in two treatments as that achieved in NBR’s standard strategy with four treatments without (Conviso One is mixed with the standard herbicides Betanal, Nortron and Goltix in all treatments). In the last two entries, Conviso One was broad sprayed with 0.16 l/ha (together with the standard herbicides) – here too a satisfactory effect has been achieved, with the exception of one trial where the effect was too low when Conviso One was applied late – which shows that timing is important. Broad spraying with 0.16 l/ha Conviso One is approved today, but the product is not marketed.
In all entries with Conviso One, only two sprays are performed, which results in savings on standard herbicides (Betanal, Nortron and Goltix) of up to 50% compared to a standard strategy with 3-4 sprays. If band spraying is used, this savings will be up to 75%.
