Sorter 2024

Conclusion

In the trials, the yield from the market varieties is an average of 14.6 tonnes of sugar per hectare in this year’s five conventional Danish yield trials. If this year’s four Swedish trials are included, it gives an average of 16.4 tonnes of sugar per hectare for the market varieties, this large difference is due to the later sowing in Denmark in 2024. Differences in the economy achieved in this year’s trials, for varieties that have been in testing for two years or more, vary from +1,596 to -1,901 DKK per hectare compared to the average of the cultivated varieties. At the top this year are the varieties Fabienna KWS, Drusilla KWS as well as Selma KWS and Caspian: If we look at three years of results in both countries (24 trials), we find Fabienna KWS, Miracula KWS, Selma KWS, Caprianna KWS and Gabriela KWS with the highest sugar yields.
